It’s no secret that the cows are S-tier Squishmallows. Fans also adore Matt the Manatee. The sea cows are the best of both worlds. They are inspired by fan-favorite cows like Ronnie and Connor but are shaped more like Matt.
They made their debut at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con and have since found a home at Box Lunch and Hot Topic. While they have limited size options, tons of unique colors and designs are available. Below I shared the 10 best sea cow designs currently available through Squishmallow!
Bottomline Up Front: My Favorite Seacow
My personal favorite is Kerry! She reminds me of the Paper Store exclusive strawberry cow, Calynda. However, my current DISO is 5-inch Alita!
I’m predicting that by 2023 the sea cow squad will grow exponentially. There are already tons of new additions being introduced each month.
However, I doubt they will grow as massive as the cows since the fanbase for the sea cows is much smaller.

Best Places to Hunt
Hot Topic and Box Lunch are the best places to hunt for the mircromallows and the 5-inch variants of the sea cows. I am unsure if they are store exclusives, but I have not seen the seacows at any other stores.
The majority of the 8-inch variants are exclusive to a toy website called ToyDrop. However, a handful are available at Box Lunch and Hot Topic. These few are discussed below!
As for the SDCC exclusive 12-inch sizes, Mercari is hands down the best place to squish hunt. The resellers are often other collectors that know the current market prices and occasionally offer trades for Squishmallows!
#01 Alita – The Best Black and White Seacow
It’s no real surprise that Alita is a professional swimmer. She can even hold her breath for five whole laps! She loves swimming with her friends, so put on your favorite swimmers and play mermaids with Alita!
Alita is a white sea cow with black spots all over her body. She has adorable flipper arms and a split tail on her rear! In addition, she has tan horns and a pale pink snoot!

#02 Bittie – The Best Brown Seacow
Bittie is a swimwear designer that invented a whole new waterproof material. It’s fashionable, durable, and, most importantly, super comfy to wear!
They are a light brown sea cow with dark brown spots all over their belly! They have a tan snoot and no horns.

The five-inch variant is the best size because, like Alita, you can easily find mystery bags at your local Hot Topic! The 5-inch version smells just like coffee!

#03 Kerry – The Best Strawberry Seacow
Kerry is a swim coach that loves to race their siblings in the pool at the end of the day. But, they are kind and patient and sometimes let their siblings win.
They have a hot pink body with a pale pink belly and dark pink spots. They do not have horns but do have hot pink flippers and a split tail. Their snout is pale pink with dark pink dots.

Like their siblings, Kerry’s best size is the 5-inch! This is because of how easy the size is to store and the plushies’ fruity scent.

You can’t have Malia without her sister, Mopey! The two are inseparable and even created their own secret language so their other siblings wouldn’t hear their secrets!
Malia is a white sea cow with two pale pink spots over her ear and bottom. She has shiny gray horns and a cream snoot!

Mopey loves to adventure with her sister Malia! She writes down their adventures and hopes to turn them into a storybook one day.
She is a white sea cow with brown spots. She has one brown flipper and one white and a white tail. Her horns match her cream-colored snoot.

#01 The Overall Best Cow – Nightingale
I’ll admit he’s on the list because he’s been on my DISO list the longest. I love to collect the neutral-toned Squishmallows and have been on the hunt for Nightingale since his launch in 2021.

#03 The Best Strawberry Cow – Calynda
This bubble gum and hot pink cow has the cutest embroidered strawberry blended into the spots on her tummy.
She loves to try new things with new friends. Once, she even joined a circus just to play on the trapeze!

12-inch, mainly because it’s the only size, she comes in. However, this size is the best for cuddling and not eating too much storage.

Connor is probably the most recognizable cow Squishmallow produces. He was the first to hit the market all the way back in 2017. Since then, he has been featured in multiple sizes, styles, and costume variants. Fun fact about Conner: He loves riding bikes in “Cowlifornia!”

The famous brown cow that shook Tiktok last year when his 24-inch dropped at Costco. What a blast it was hunting for Ronnie! I don’t even really mind that I never found the massive push.
When he’s not selling out Costco’s country-wide, he loves making birdhouses with his sister Belana!

Maeve is the newest addition to the manatee Squad. They are a dark blue color with a gray-blue tummy and nose. They love to relax in lazy rivers with a good book and saltwater taffy!

Answer: Malia is a sea cow Squishmallow. A sea cow is just a nickname for a manatee, but Squishmallow has designed its own version of the mammal. Their sea cows are a cross between their manatee and the cow plushies!

Answer: Fania the Purple Owl. She is just a regular owl, but she has not seen a restock in quite a few years, which makes her a very valuable Squishmallow!

Answer: Squishmallow is implementing a new tag rarity system to help know if your Squishmallow friend is rare or not! A silver tag means rare, gold is ultra rare, and holographic means it is a special edition Squishmallow!
